31st Annual Louisville Art Association National Juried Fine Art Show

The Louisville Art Association presents the 31st Annual National Juried Fine Art Show, held at the Louisville Center for the Arts, 801 Grant Avenue, Louisville, CO 80027. The historic venue is a completely renovated Victorian-era red brick schoolhouse (circa 1904) that offers participating artists the opportunity to compete, display, and sell artwork in an elegant gallery setting. The Fine Art Exhibit will remain on display for 8 days.

This competition is open to all artists 18 years and older working in all media except photography. Entry fee is $35.00 for up to 3 entries, with an additional $10.00 for each additional entry up to a total of 6 pieces. All artwork must be original in both concept and execution, completed in the last 2 years, and not previously shown in the National Fine Art Show. Copies, kits, reproductions, work done under instructor supervision, quilts, framed fiber arts, photography, computer-generated art, reproduction prints, and installation pieces are not eligible. Pieces must not exceed 48" on any side and have a minimum size of 11" x 14" framed. All artwork must be appropriate for general audiences.

Judge Jill Soukup will award cash prizes including Best of Show/First Place ($600), 2nd Place ($400), 3rd Place ($250), 10 Artistic Achievement Awards ($125 each), Judge's Award ($200), and 1 People's Choice Award ($200). All exhibited artwork is for sale, with the Louisville Art Association retaining a 25% commission on sales. Accepted artists must provide a brief biography of 170 words or less. Exhibition dates are September 3-5 and September 7-11, 2016. Shipping deadline for artwork is August 26, 2016, or hand-delivery is accepted August 31, 2016 between 5:00pm-7:00pm. All hand-delivered artwork must be picked up September 11, 2016 between 4:00pm-6:00pm.
