31st Annual Foundation Arts Festival

The Foundation Arts Festival is a juried makers retail show held by the Long Beach Island Foundation of the Arts & Sciences. The 31st annual festival takes place July 20, 2019 (10am-6pm) with a rain date of July 21. A Preview Cocktail Party is scheduled for July 19, 6-8pm for indoor vendors only. The festival features 100+ juried artists across multiple media categories including 2D, 3D functional and non-functional work, ceramics, drawing, fiber, furniture, glass, home décor, jewelry, leather, metal, mixed media, paper, printmaking, painting, photography, soap/fragrances/cosmetics, wearables, wood, and other media.

Artists must create handmade, original work. Work must not be commercially produced, kits, or imported goods. All jewelry must be hand-crafted with no more than 40% purchased components. Artists may only exhibit works in the media they were juried into. The call is open to artists 18 years or older. Entry fee is $25.00 (non-refundable). Applicants must submit 3-6 images of representative work. Application deadline is July 15, 2019 at 11:59pm MDT.

Booth options include outdoor spaces (10'x10' at $225 or 10'x20' at $400) and indoor gallery spaces (10'x10' at $350, waitlist only). Outdoor vendors show Saturday only; indoor vendors show Friday's preview party and Saturday. Accepted artists must submit booth fee payment by July 6, 2019. Artists are responsible for their own tents, tables, chairs, displays, and weights. White tents are preferred. All outdoor booths must withstand Northeast weather with canopies weighted or staked against wind (minimum 40 pounds per leg). Overnight security is provided. Demonstrations are supported and demo artists receive additional marketing. Artist attendance is required for the entire festival.
