311 Gallery STILL LIFE National Juried Show

311 Gallery, located at 311 West Martin Street in Raleigh, NC, calls for entries to the May 2019 "There's Still Life in Still Lifes" Juried Show. Artists may submit a maximum of two works of art per artist. The show is open to 2-D or 3-D works that have never been previously shown at 311 Gallery. Artists may interpret the show title in any way and in any medium suitable for a family-friendly audience. Entries may portray classic still life subjects or still life subjects intentionally outside that tradition. Style may be realistic or abstracted realism.

Entry fee is $32 for up to two works of art. All entries must be available and priced for sale, as the gallery depends upon sales commissions (38%) to help cover show advertising costs. Work sample requirements: submit 1-4 images (1 photo per 2-D work; 1-2 photos per 3-D work). Digital images must be unenhanced JPEG files, not less than 1920 pixels on the longest side, and not exceed 5 MB in file size. 2-D artwork maximum dimensions: 32 inches width, 72 inches height (including framing). 3-D artwork maximum dimensions: 16 inches width and depth, 28 inches overall height.

Deadline for submission is March 22, 2019. Notification of acceptance will be sent March 31, 2019. Accepted art must be hand-delivered or shipped between April 24-27, 2019 (hand delivery) or April 24-26, 2019 (shipped) between 9:00 am and 4:00 pm. The show runs May 2-June 1, 2019, with a First Friday Opening Reception on May 3, 2019 from 6:00-9:00 p.m. Unsold art may be picked up Saturday, June 1, 2019 between 12:00 and 4:00 pm. The First Place Winner ($350) will be invited to participate in the 311 Gallery 2019 Juried Show Winners Exhibition in February 2020. Additional awards: 2nd Place $250; 3rd Place $150; Three Honorable Mention awards $50 each. Jurors are working and exhibiting artists: Linda M. Eddins, Eileen Hendren, and Susan K. Jones.
