311 Gallery Flowers & Gardens Juried Show

The 2016 Flowers & Gardens Juried Art Show is open to two-dimensional or three-dimensional art focusing on flowers and gardens. Artists may interpret the show title in any way, from representational to abstract, and in any medium. Up to two original works of art may be submitted. Required images: one photograph for each 2-D artwork; one or two photographs for each 3-D artwork. Entry fee is $30.00.

The Opening Reception will be held from 6 to 9 pm on August 5, 2016 as part of First Friday, a free self-guided tour of downtown Raleigh's cultural venues. The gallery is open Thursday-Saturday, August 4-27, from 11:30 to 4:00 pm. Awards include: 1st Place $250 plus participation in the Juried Show Winners Exhibition in February 2017; 2nd Place $150; 3rd Place $100; and two Honorable Mentions and People's Choice awards, each receiving a certificate for a future 311 Gallery juried show. Jurors are Susan K. Jones (photographer and color artist), Linda K. Eddins (oil painter), and Janie Johnson (watercolorist and art teacher). The gallery is located at 311 West Martin Street in downtown Raleigh's Warehouse District.
