311 Gallery BLACK & WHITE Juried Show 2019

311 Gallery calls for a maximum of two works of art per artist for the November 2019 BLACK & WHITE Juried Show. The show is open to colorless 2-D or 3-D works of art that have never been previously shown at 311 Gallery. Artists may interpret the show title in any way and in any medium, suitable for a family-friendly audience.

Color restrictions apply: works may be composed only of black, white, and shades of gray. A warm or cool black may be used to make gray, but different blacks may not be used. Silver paint, wire, or thread may be used. Wood must be weathered completely gray or painted black, white, gray, or silver; natural colored wood is not allowed. Metal must be silvery in color or painted black, white, gray, or silver. Other natural or synthetic materials must be colorless, black, white, gray, or silver. Frames or bases may only be black, white, gray, or silver. Maximum size for 2-D works: 32 inches width, 72 inches height. Maximum size for 3-D works: 16 inches width and depth, 28 inches overall height.

Entry fee is $32 for up to 2 works. All entries must be available and priced for sale; the gallery takes a 38% commission. Submission deadline is September 20, 2019. Notification of acceptance is September 29, 2019. Hand-delivered art must be received October 23-26, 2019 between 9:00 am and 4:00 pm. Shipped art must be received October 23-25, 2019 between 9:00 am and 4:00 pm. Show dates are October 31-November 30, 2019, with the opening reception on November 1, 2019 from 6:00-9:00 p.m. Awards: 1st Place $350 (winner invited to February 2020 Winners Exhibition), 2nd Place $250, 3rd Place $150, and three Honorable Mention awards of $50 each. Jurors are Jim Hallenbeck, David Spector, and Lori White.
