311 Gallery Annual PORTRAYING PETS & PEOPLE Juried Show

311 Gallery, located at 311 West Martin Street in Raleigh, NC, calls for a maximum of two works of art per artist for the May 2018 PORTRAYING PETS & PEOPLE Juried Show. The show is open to 2-D or 3-D works of art that have never been previously shown at 311 Gallery. Artists may interpret the show title in any way and in any medium. All entries must be available and priced for sale.

Submission deadline is March 23, 2018. Entry fee is $30 for up to 2 works of art. Accepted art may be received April 26-28 between 12:00 and 4:00 pm. Show dates are May 3-26, 2018, with a First Friday Opening Reception on May 4, 2018 from 6:00-9:00 p.m. Notification of acceptance will be sent March 31, 2018. Unsold art may be picked up May 26, 2018 between 12:00 and 4:00 pm.

Size limits: 2-D artwork maximum width 32 inches, maximum height 72 inches (including framing); 3-D artwork maximum width and depth 16 inches, maximum overall height 28 inches. Digital images must be unenhanced JPEG files, not less than 1920 pixels on the longest side, and not exceed 5 MB in file size. One photo is required for each 2-D work; one or two photos for 3-D work.

Selection is based on average rating of three jurors using submitted photographs. Final judging for awards occurs after artwork arrives at the gallery. Awards: 1st Place $300 (winner invited to 2018 Juried Show Winners Exhibition in February 2019), 2nd Place $200, 3rd Place $100, Two Honorable Mentions $50 each. Artists receive 65% of sales; 311 Gallery retains 35% commission and pays sales tax. 311 Gallery will not be responsible for damage or theft; artists must provide their own insurance.
