311 Gallery Annual ABSTRACTS MATTER Juried Show 2020

311 Gallery, located at 311 West Martin Street in Raleigh, NC, calls for entries to the March 2020 ABSTRACTS MATTER Juried Show. Artists may submit a maximum of three works of art (2-D or 3-D) that have never been previously shown at 311 Gallery. Works may be purely abstract or abstracted realism, and artists may interpret the show title in any way and in any medium suitable for a family-friendly audience. A maximum of two pieces per artist can be invited into the exhibition.

All entries must be available and priced for sale. The gallery depends upon sales commissions (40%) to help cover show advertising costs. Entry fee is $35 for up to three works. Submission deadline is January 25, 2020. Notification of acceptance will be sent February 4, 2020. Accepted artwork must be hand-delivered or shipped between February 19-22, 2020, between 9:00 am and 4:00 pm. The exhibition runs March 5-28, 2020, with a First Friday opening on March 6, 2020, from 7:00-9:00 p.m.

Selection will be based on ratings from three jurors. Awards include: 1st Place $400, 2nd Place $275, 3rd Place $150, and three Honorable Mention awards of $50 each. The First Place Winner will be invited to participate in the 311 Gallery 2018 Juried Show Winners Exhibition in February 2020. Size limits: 2-D works maximum 32 inches width and 72 inches height; 3-D works maximum 16 inches width and depth and 28 inches overall height (including framing or base). Digital JPEG images must be at least 1920 pixels on the longest side and not exceed 5 MB in file size. Submissions must be made through www.CallForEntry.org.
