311 Gallery Annual ABSTRACTS MATTER Juried Show 2019

311 Gallery calls for a maximum of two works of art per artist for the March 2019 ABSTRACTS MATTER Juried Show. The show is open to 2-D or 3-D works of art that have never been previously shown at 311 Gallery. Artists may interpret the show title in any way and in any medium, suitable for a family-friendly audience. Entries may be purely abstract or abstracted realism. All entries must be available and priced for sale, with the gallery taking a 38% commission to help cover show advertising costs.

Entry fee is $32 for up to 2 works of art. Submission deadline is January 18, 2019. Notification of acceptance will be sent January 27, 2019. Hand-delivered artwork must be received February 20-23, 2019 between 9:00 am and 4:00 pm. Shipped artwork must be received February 20-22, 2019 between 9:00 am and 4:00 pm. The show runs February 28 - March 30, 2019, with the First Friday Opening Reception on March 1, 2019 at 6:00-9:00 p.m. Unsold artwork can be picked up Saturday, March 30, 2019 between 12:00 and 4:00 pm.

Awards include: 1st Place $350 (winner invited to participate in 311 Gallery 2020 Juried Show Winners Exhibition in February 2020), 2nd Place $250, 3rd Place $150, and three Honorable Mention awards of $50 each. Selection is based on the average rating of three jurors. Artwork size limits: 2-D maximum width 32 inches, maximum height 72 inches; 3-D maximum width and depth 16 inches, maximum overall height 28 inches. Digital JPEG images must be at least 1920 pixels on the longest side and not exceed 5 MB. Two-dimensional works must be appropriately wired on D-rings and ready to hang. Three-dimensional work must sit solidly on a flat surface or be properly wired for hanging. 311 Gallery will not be responsible for damage or theft; artists must provide their own insurance coverage.
