311 Gallery Annual ABSTRACTS Juried Show 2018

311 Gallery, located at 311 West Martin Street in Raleigh, NC, calls for entries to the March 2018 ABSTRACTS Juried Show. A maximum of two works of art per artist may be entered. The show is open to 2-D or 3-D works of art that have never been previously shown at 311 Gallery. Artists may interpret the show title in any way and in any medium. Artwork may be abstracted realism, totally abstract, or anywhere in between. All entries must be available and priced for sale.

Entry fee is $30 for up to 2 works of art. Submission deadline is January 19, 2018. Notification of acceptance will be sent January 27, 2018. Accepted art may be received February 22-24, 2018 between 12:00 and 4:00 pm. The show runs March 1-31, 2018, with a First Friday Opening Reception on March 2, 2018 from 6:00-9:00 p.m. Unsold art may be picked up March 31, 2018 between 12:00 and 4:00 pm.

Selection is based upon the average rating of three jurors using photographs of submitted artworks. Final judging for awards occurs after invited artworks arrive at the gallery. Awards: 1st Place $300 (winner invited to participate in 311 Gallery 2018 Juried Show Winners Exhibition in February 2019), 2nd Place $200, 3rd Place $100, and two Honorable Mentions $50 each. Artists receive 65% of sales; 311 Gallery retains 35% commission and pays sales tax. Size limits: 2-D maximum width 32 inches, maximum height 72 inches; 3-D maximum width and depth 16 inches, maximum height 28 inches. Submit one unenhanced JPEG image per 2-D work (1 or 2 images for 3-D work), minimum 1920 pixels on longest side, not exceeding 5 MB file size. Submission must be made through www.CallForEntry.org.
