311 Gallery 2017 PETS & PEOPLE Juried Show

311 Gallery, located at 311 West Martin Street in Raleigh, NC, calls for entries to the April 2017 PETS & PEOPLE Juried Show. A maximum of two works of art per artist may be entered. The show is open to 2-D or 3-D works of art in any medium. Artists may interpret the show title in any way.

Entry fee is $30 for up to 2 works of art, payable through CAFÉ or by check. Submission deadline is April 21, 2017. Notification of acceptance will be sent May 7, 2017. Accepted artwork must be delivered May 25-27, 2017 between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. The show runs June 1 – July 1, 2017, with a First Friday Opening Reception on June 2, 2017 from 6-9 p.m. Pickup of unsold artwork is July 1, 2017 between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m.

Size limits include framing or base: 2-D artwork maximum 32 inches width and 42 inches height; 3-D artwork maximum 16 inches base width and depth and 28 inches overall height. Submit one unenhanced JPEG image per 2-D work (1 or 2 images for 3-D work) through www.CallForEntry.org. Each image must be at least 1920 pixels on the longest side and not exceed 5 MB. 2-D artworks must be wired with D-rings ready to hang; single hangers and unprotected pastels are not allowed. 3-D work must sit solidly on a flat surface or be properly wired for hanging.

Awards: 1st Place $250 (winner invited to 2017 Juried Show Winners Exhibition in February 2018), 2nd Place $150, 3rd Place $100, two Honorable Mentions and one People's Choice Award (each receives certificate for free entry into future juried show). Artists receive 65% on sales; 311 Gallery retains 35% commission. Artists must provide their own insurance coverage. Unsold artwork not picked up by July 1, 2017 becomes the property of 311 Gallery unless prior arrangements have been made.
