About This Call
The 2024 Louisville Art Association National Juried Photography Show and Sale takes place in Louisville, Colorado, running from May 24 – June 2, 2024, overlapping with the Louisville CO Memorial Day weekend events. Jennifer Renwick, a full-time nature photographer based in Golden, Colorado, serves as judge and juror.
Entry Requirements: Submit 3-6 digital images in .jpg format (minimum 1200 pixels on longest edge, maximum 5 megabytes). Entry fee is $45 for the first three pieces and $10 for each additional entry, with a maximum of 6 entries per person. A maximum of 3 pieces will be accepted per artist. Images must be original work, not previously shown in LAA National shows. Digitally modified images are allowed, but AI-generated images are not permitted. Do not watermark images. Work must be suitable for a general audience with no frontal nudity.
Categories are based on subject matter with separate Color and Black & White/Monochrome options: People (portraits and photos where people are the main subject), Animals & Wildlife, Nature Created (landscapes, waterfalls, natural habitat flora), and Human Made (architecture, city scenes, street scenes, human-created objects). All accepted work must be properly framed, wired, and ready to hang with no sawtooth hangers, exposed glass edges, or cleats.
Prizes: At least $6,000 in cash and prizes will be awarded including Best in Show, First Place in each category, Artistic Achievement awards, and People's Choice award. Notification of acceptance is April 12, 2024. Awards Reception is May 24, 2024 at 7:00 PM. Shipped artwork delivery deadline is May 15-17, 2024. Hand-delivered work must arrive May 21, 2024 between 1:00 PM and 6:00 PM. All sales are conducted by LAA with a 25% commission charged on sold work. Accepted artists may also display up to 5 pieces of matted unframed bin work, greeting cards, and individual cards. Submission of work constitutes acceptance of stated conditions and permission to photograph accepted artwork for publicity purposes.
