30 Over 50: In Context

30 Over 50: In Context seeks work from artists over the age of 50 making work that reflects contemporary times. Work may engage with events of 2020 or be from long-term projects in context with history or contemporary thought. The call aims to highlight 30 socially engaged artists and photographers.

Submission Requirements: Submit 5-10 images. Entry fee is $25 for non-members or $20 for members. A brief bio and artist statement are highly recommended but not required. The call is open to photographers worldwide working in all photographic mediums, including digital, film, mixed, and unique processes.

Selected artists' work will be included in an online exhibition (February 12 through March 28, 2021) with artist website links. The 2021 In Context Award winner receives an artist interview and virtual artist talk at The Center. Honorable mentions and all selected artists receive event press releases and social media promotions. The juror is Arnika Dawkins, owner of Arnika Dawkins fine art photography gallery in Atlanta. All submitting artists receive email notification of results by January 31, 2021.
