2nd Open Call Juried Photography Exhibit

Peter Miller Fine Art (PMFA) photography gallery seeks a broad range of exhibition-ready work from established and emerging photographers for its 2nd Open Call exhibit, juried by Paula Tognarelli, Executive Director and Curator of the Griffin Museum of Photography.

All photo-based printed images are welcome with no limitation to subject matter or technique. Entries will be reviewed and judged on originality, technical excellence, composition, overall impact, and artistic merit. PMFA invites photographers from around the world working in all mediums, styles, and schools of thought. Experimental and mixed techniques are welcome. Artwork must be photography-based and 40 inches or less in height and width (including the frame). Photographers must be age 18 or older. Entry fee is $30 for three pieces and $10 for each additional entry, with a limit of 6 entries per person.

Prizes total $1000: Best of show $500, 2nd place $200, 3rd place $100, and People's choice prize $200 (determined by online poll during the exhibit). Prizes are awarded as gift cards from Hunts Photo & Video. All work accepted for gallery exhibition must be for sale. PMFA will retain a 30% commission on the sale of any work. Accepted photographs must be printed and framed professionally with either glass or plexi, and be wired with D-rings and ready to hang. Prints on aluminum, wood, or other alternative materials are acceptable. Entry deadline: September 24, 2015, 11:59 pm MDT. Notice of acceptance: October 1, 2015. Artwork delivery: October 10 & 11 from 1 to 4pm, or shipped by October 12 at 4pm. Awards reception: October 15, 5 to 7pm. Show closes: November 14, 12 noon. Artwork pickup: November 14 & 15 from 1 to 4pm. A print service is available for distant photographers whose work is accepted, with prints available at $40 each.
