2nd Biennial Wings & Water

River Arts, Inc. invites artists from around the nation to participate in a juried exhibit depicting their definition of wings and/or water. Examples include works of birds, insects, fish, animals, rivers, and similar subjects. All styles, media, and techniques are accepted, including both 2-D and 3-D pieces.

Entry Fee: One entry for $35; additional entries $10 each, limited to 4 submissions. Works must be original and include title, media, size, and price. Two-dimensional work must be framed and wired for hanging with no sawtooths or clip hangers. Size limit is maximum 5 feet. All works must remain at the gallery for the duration of the exhibit. Acceptances and regrets will be sent by January 18, 2016. The exhibition runs March 14-May 4, 2016, with an opening reception on March 17, 2016 at 3:30pm-7:30pm and a juror talk at 6pm.

Awards: $500 Best of Show, $200 2nd Place, and three $100 Honorable Mentions. Juror is Marla Brenner, an artist and instructor whose work has been featured in American Artist Magazine and the international exhibit Birds in Art. Though NFS works are accepted, sale works are encouraged. Artists retain 65% of sales with 35% retained by River Arts Inc. Artists are responsible for shipping and insurance costs to and from the venue; artwork will be insured by River Arts Inc. during the exhibit. Artwork is due March 1-5, 2016 and will be returned May 12, 2016.
