About This Call
The Society of American Graphic Artists (SAGA) announces its 2nd Annual Mini Gems Print Exhibition. The exhibition will be held at SAGA Gallery, located in Union Square, New York City, on September 8, 9, 15, 16, 22, 23, and by appointment during September 2023. Gallery hours are noon to 5 PM on exhibition dates. Due to the success of the first Mini Gems, capacity has been increased by 50% this year.
Artists may submit up to 2 original prints. All prints must be unmatted, original and handmade, titled, numbered, and signed. Paper size must measure 8" x 8", and prints must fit within a 5" x 5" window. SAGA will provide white matting (9" x 9" with 5" x 5" opening) for all work. All prints must be for sale and completely dry before mailing. Each print must have a label on the back identifying the artist's name, email address, title, medium, and price. The entry deadline is July 14, 2023. Entry fees are $15 for SAGA members and $25 for non-members. Active SAGA members are guaranteed at least one work accepted; non-members' work will be juried. Notification of acceptance is August 4, 2023, with a shipping deadline of August 18, 2023.
The juror is Kimberly Henrikson, Executive Director of the Center for Contemporary Printmaking. Awards include Best in Show ($500), 2nd Place ($200), 3rd Place ($100), and four Honorable Mentions ($50 each). SAGA Gallery retains a 30% commission on all works sold. Unsold work will be returned via USPS in October, and payments for sold prints will be sent in October. This exhibit is open to active SAGA members and all printmakers residing and working in the USA.
