2nd Annual Art and Flowers Juried Competition

Ellington-White Contemporary Art Gallery presents the 2nd Annual Art and Flowers Juried Competition, held April 22 – May 21, 2016 at the Arts Council Fayetteville/Cumberland County. This is a celebration of original 2D floral artworks. Top floral designers of the region will be invited to create arrangements inspired by selected exhibition works of art. The floral arrangements and artworks will be exhibited together, demonstrating the continued significance of botanical art through both conventional and innovative methods.

The competition is open to professional artists 18 years of age and older. All work must be original and completed within the last two years, and must not have been previously exhibited in Cumberland County, North Carolina. Artists may submit a maximum of three 2D works. Work size must be between 12" x 12" and 48" x 48" including frame. All works must be properly framed, wired, and ready to hang. Entry fee is $35.00 for up to three images submitted online via CaFE. The deadline for digital submissions is March 26, 2016 at midnight EST.

Accepted works must arrive ready to install between April 11-16, 2016. The exhibition offers $1,750 in cash awards. A 30% commission applies to all sales. Accepted work will be available for purchase. Acceptance notifications will be sent March 30, 2016. The Gala Opening and Awards ceremony is Thursday, April 21, 2016, 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Work pick-up is May 23-25, 2016. For questions, contact [email protected] or 910-483-1388.
