About This Call

River Oaks Square Arts Center invites visual artists to participate in the Annual Miniature Exhibition 2017, the 5x5x5 Art Show. This national competition features miniature art and coincides with the gift-giving season. Guest Juror for 2017 is Louisiana painter Linda Dautreuil.

The exhibition accepts both 2D and 3D original works in all media. Image size should be no larger than 5x5 inches or 25 square inches. Three-dimensional work should stay within 5"h x 5"w x 5"d. When matting, the mat should be no more than 2" on top and sides and 3" on the bottom, and must be off-white or white in color. Framing should suit the piece and be ready to hang. Artists may submit up to 4 pieces but no more than 2 pieces are required. Entry fee is $15.00 per artist.

Awards include $300 for Best in Show, three Merit Awards of $100 each, and Honorable Mention recognition. River Oaks receives a 30% commission on works sold. Artists are responsible for shipping and insurance costs to and from the Art Center. Accepted artwork must be delivered by 5 pm Wednesday, November 8, with a return shipping label included. River Oaks reserves the right to photograph exhibited work and utilize digital images for reproduction in printed and electronic materials for publicity.
