2D National Juried Exhibition

2D National Juried Exhibition at Dallas Metro Arts Contemporary, located at 1412 14th St, Plano, TX 75074. The exhibition runs from June 1 to June 27, 2020, with a closing reception and awards ceremony on Saturday, June 27 from 6:00-9:00pm.

Eligibility is open to national artists 18 years or older. Original works are accepted in all 2D media including painting, drawing, water-media, printmaking (no giclee), photography, mixed media, and collage/assemblage. Works must have been executed during the past three years and never previously exhibited at DMAContemporary. Artists may submit up to five works. Entry fee is $30 for 1-2 works, with a $5 fee for each additional work up to a maximum of 5 entries. All work must be framed and ready for installation with hanging hardware already installed. Work dimensions cannot exceed 48 inches in width or 72 inches in height, and cannot exceed 75 pounds. No installations or video are accepted.

The juror is Julie Shipp, Director of Galleries at Collin College and Professor of Art. Prizes include First Prize of $1,000, Director's Choice Award, and Visitor's Choice Award. Submissions are accepted through CaFÉ with a deadline of May 3, 2020 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. Accepted artists will be notified on May 10, 2020.
