About This Call

The 29th Parkside National Print Exhibition is one of the longest-running competitive print exhibitions in the Midwest, founded at UW-Parkside in 1987 by printmaking professor Doug DeVinny. The exhibition will be held August 19 – November 21, 2025, in the Emile H. Mathis Gallery in the Rita Tallent Picken Regional Center for Arts & Humanities at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside. A public reception, announcement of awards, and juror's remarks will take place Wednesday, September 10, 4-6 PM. A full-color catalog will accompany the exhibition, with each accepted artist receiving a complimentary copy.

Eligible artists must be 18 years or older and currently residing in the United States. Submissions should include prints utilizing traditional, hand-pulled media, including hybrid works combining hand-pulled techniques with new media forms. Prints must have been created within the last two years and arrive exhibition ready. There are no size restrictions. 3D prints and prints employing alternative display methods will be considered. The entry fee is $30 (non-refundable) for submitting up to three works. Submission deadline is June 2, 2025, with notifications to artists on June 26, 2025. Works must be delivered to the gallery by July 22, 2025.

The juror is Nathaniel Russell, an internationally exhibited printmaker and interdisciplinary artist. Awards include the Doug DeVinny Memorial Award ($1,500 purchase prize), $500 second place, and $300 third place, selected by the juror and announced at the reception.
