29th Arts North International 2024

This juried, physical exhibition will be held at Hopkins Center for the Arts, 1111 Mainstreet, Hopkins, MN 55343, from Saturday, January 13 – Saturday, February 24, 2024. A loading area is located directly in front of the center for in-person drop-off and pick-up, with free parking available at the parking ramp at 26 10th Avenue S.

Media accepted include acrylic, ceramics, drawing, textiles/fiber, glass, mixed media, oil, pastel, printmaking, photography, sequential art, sculpture, and watercolor/watermedia. Entry fee is $39 for three images/entries, with additional images/entries at $6 each. A maximum of 10 images may be submitted, and up to three artworks may be selected for exhibition. Digital images must comply with standard CaFE specifications. Maximum width of wall-hanging work is 60 inches. Free-standing sculpture must fit through a standard door space and be light enough for a manual dolly. All hanging work must be properly framed with a hanging wire. Accepted work must remain on exhibit for the duration of the exhibition. All accepted work must have the artist's name and title indicated on the back or bottom.

More than $10,000 in awards are available, including Best of Show ($3,000), 2 Awards of Excellence ($1,000 each), 2 Awards of Merit ($500 each), and First, Second, and Third awards in media categories. Additional Special Awards ($100+) will be selected by sponsors. Artists will be notified of jury results on or by Friday, December 8, 2023. Free in-person drop-off of accepted artwork is Friday, January 5, 3–7pm and Saturday, January 6, 10am–2pm. Shipped artwork must arrive between Tuesday, December 26, 2023 and Thursday, January 4, 2024, and must include prepaid return labels. A reception will be held Saturday, January 13, 2024, 6:00–8:00pm. In-person artwork return is Sunday, February 25, 2:00–7:00pm, with shipped work returns beginning Tuesday, February 27, 2024. Any accepted work listed for sale will be sold through the Hopkins Center for the Arts, which will collect sales tax and retain a 30% sales commission. Eligibility is open to all living artists. Entries must be original work completed since January 1, 2021 and may not have been exhibited in previous Arts North exhibitions.
