29th Annual McNeese National Works on Paper Exhibition

The 29th Annual McNeese National Works on Paper Exhibition is open to all artists living in the United States. Work in any medium using paper as a component part is eligible. All artwork should be original and completed in the last two years. Artwork, including frame, should not exceed 40" in any dimension.

Artists may submit no more than three entries. Each entry must be individually labeled with artist's name, title, primary medium, presentation size, year completed, and price. The entry fee is $35 (non-refundable), which entitles the artist to a maximum of three entries. Images should be submitted in JPEG format, no larger than 1920 pixels on the longest side, at 72 ppi/dpi resolution, with a maximum file size of 5 MB. Entries can be submitted via the CaFÉ website or on compact disc with a completed signed entry form and fee mailed to the address below.

The juror is Brooke Davis Anderson, Executive Director of U.S. Biennial (Prospect New Orleans). The deadline for receiving all entry submissions is February 12, 2016. Notification of acceptance will be sent March 2, with accepted works due by March 16. The exhibition runs March 24 – May 12, 2016, with an opening reception on March 24 (6 to 8 p.m.). Awards will be announced at the opening reception. $3,000 will be available for the purchase of works for the McNeese State University Works On Paper Permanent Collection. A 40 percent commission will be charged on all artist sales by the Grand Gallery (no commission on purchase prize awards). Each entrant will receive a copy of the exhibition catalog.

Accepted artwork must be suitable for formal gallery presentation and packaged shipping. Works must be received by March 16, 2016, shipped in reusable packing cartons with prepaid return shipping labels. Hand deliveries are accepted April 17–18, 2016 (9 a.m. to 4 p.m.). Return of artwork begins May 16, 2016; hand delivery pick-up is May 13, 2016 (9 a.m. to 4 p.m.). Works are insured while on exhibition.
