28th Annual Rio Brazos Art Exhibition

The Tarleton State University Department of Visual Arts & Design announces the 28th annual Rio Brazos Juried Art Exhibition. Open to all varieties of media, this exhibition curates a selection of exemplary contemporary work from artists around the country. All proceeds from the exhibition go to scholarships for the Department of Visual Arts & Design at Tarleton State University.

The exhibition is open to all artists 18 years of age or older. Work must have been made in the last 3 years and has not been featured at previous Rio Brazos exhibitions. Artists of all mediums and genres are encouraged to apply. The entry fee is $50 for 3 images, with additional pieces at $5 each. Submissions may include 1-3 images and 0-3 videos.

Accepted work must be ready to hang or display. Framed and hung works may not exceed 50" in any direction, including frame, nor weigh more than 12 lbs. Wire hangers are preferred for 2D works; saw tooth hangers are not acceptable. 3-dimensional works may not exceed 60" in any direction and may require artist or agent installation. The exhibition committee reserves the right to exclude works that are not gallery ready or received in unsatisfactory condition. A prepaid return UPS or FedEx shipping label must be provided for artwork to be returned after the exhibition concludes (3/30/26 - 4/29/26). The organizers will exercise due care in handling artwork but will not be liable for loss, theft, damage, or replacement during the exhibition or shipping. Artists are encouraged to consider insuring their work.
