27th International Open

Woman Made Gallery seeks entries in all media by women and non-binary artists worldwide for its 27th International Open. The gallery is a space for women and nonbinary artists, including trans women and femme/feminine-identifying genderqueer artists, welcoming submissions from local, regional, and international artists.

Due to wall size restrictions, artworks must be no larger than 6' horizontally and under 75 pounds in weight, unless delivered to and picked up from the gallery by the artist. Artists may be additionally responsible for installation of oversized works. New media artworks are eligible. The entry fee is $35 per entry, with a minimum of one artwork and up to three artworks per submission. WMG offers up to 30 fee waivers per exhibition, primarily reserved for ALAANA/BIPOC and/or LGBTQIA+ artists. To request a fee waiver, email [email protected].

The exhibition will be held February 28–March 28, 2026 at Woman Made Gallery, 1332 S. Halsted St., Chicago, IL 60607, with an opening reception on Saturday, February 28 at 4–7 PM CST. The juror is Nirmal Raj, an interdisciplinary artist. Awards include 1st Place $500, 2nd Place $250, 3rd Place $100, and 4th Place Honorable Mention. Accepted work may be listed for sale or not for sale. WMG retains a 40% commission on sold works, with artists paid no later than 30 days after the close of the exhibit. Notification of acceptance is January 10, 2026. The first entry deadline is December 19, 2025 at 11:59 PM CST, with an extended deadline of December 26, 2025 at 11:59 PM CST.
