27th Annual Collectors Choice Auction and Fundraiser

Laguna College of Art and Design's 27th Annual Collector's Choice is a juried invitational auction and fundraiser taking place on Friday, November 18, 2016 at Montage Laguna Beach. The event aims to raise funds to support LCAD's students and programs. Contributing artists are comprised exclusively of LCAD faculty, alumni, visiting artists, and select BFA and MFA students.

Invitees may submit up to three original works created within the past three years. Artwork must be professionally framed or prepared and ready to hang. Maximum size is 48" x 48". Minimum bids are set at 50% of each work's retail price. Artists may donate 100% of proceeds to the College or retain between 25% and 50% commission of the final sale price. If multiple works are accepted, all works will be available for bidding via the electronic Text2Bid system, though space limitations may prevent all works from being displayed at the event.

Image submission deadline is October 7, 2016. Accepted works are due at LCAD by October 17. The exhibition is open to the public October 26 through November 17, with a Preview Reception on November 2 at LCAD Gallery (374 Ocean Ave., Laguna Beach). Invitees and one guest receive complimentary admission to the Preview Party. Artists juried into the live auction receive two complimentary gala tickets; additional tickets are available for $125 each. Works that do not sell at auction will be available online for the minimum bid. Accepted artists will be featured on the Collector's Choice website with their name, work, bio, and website link.
