About This Call
A national juried art exhibition accepting submissions of original two-dimensional artwork. Artists may submit a maximum of five pieces per entry. Artwork must be original in design, concept, and execution, completed after January 1, 2022, and must not have been displayed in any previous NOAA national show. Artists must be eighteen years of age or older at the time of submission.
Acceptable media includes paintings (oil, acrylic, water media, pastel, encaustic, and egg tempera) and drawings (Conte-crayon, colored pencil, graphite, charcoal, pen and ink, and scratchboard). Multi-paneled pieces, reproductions, prints, photography, videos, crafts, jewelry, three-dimensional works, textiles, fiber art, collages, montages, and computer-generated elements are not accepted. No full-frontal nudes. All reference photos must have been taken by the artist.
Accepted artwork must be ready to hang, dry, and prepared with wire and D-rings or screw eyes. Gallery-wrapped submissions (minimum 1 1/4 inches deep) must have all edges finished/painted with no visible staples, hooks, or fasteners. Artwork dimensions must not exceed 60 inches in width and 80 inches in length (including frame), and must be at least 8 inches on the shortest edge. Maximum weight is 35 pounds. Artwork not meeting eligibility criteria will be excluded with no refunds issued.
Entry fee is $50 ($40 for NOAA members in good standing) for one to three entries, with two additional entries available for $10 each. Submissions must be high-quality JPEG files at least 1500 pixels on the longest edge with a maximum file size of 30 MB. Images must be cropped to show only the artwork with correct orientation. Entry deadline is July 28, 2025. Artists are responsible for arranging artwork retrieval. For questions, contact [email protected].
