26th Arts North International

The 26th Arts North International is a juried exhibition open to all living artists. The exhibition will be held at Hopkins Center for the Arts, 1111 Mainstreet, Hopkins, MN 55343, from Saturday, January 9 – Saturday, February 13, 2021.

Accepted media includes acrylic, ceramic, drawing, fiber, glass, mixed media, oil, pastel, print, photograph, sequential art, sculpture, and watercolor/watermedia. Entries must be original work not previously exhibited in Arts North or Arts in Harmony shows. Copies, class work, and fragile work will not be considered. Work requiring more than normal careful handling is not eligible. Maximum width of horizontal dimension is 60 inches. Free-standing sculpture must fit through a standard door space and be light enough for a manual dolly. All hanging work must be properly framed with a hanging wire (no sawtooth or photo hangers). Drawings, prints, photographs, watercolors, and batik not under glass or plexiglass must be fixed to a backing board.

Entry fee is $35 for two images, with additional images at $5 each (maximum 10 images total). A maximum of three artworks may be selected for the exhibition. Digital images must comply with standard CaFE specifications. Notification of acceptance is Tuesday, December 8, 2020. In-person drop-off of accepted artwork is available Saturday, January 2, 2021, 3:00 – 7:00 pm and Sunday, January 3, 2021, noon – 5:00 pm. Early in-person drop-off by appointment is available December 21-31, 2020 for $25 per artist. Shipped artwork incurs a $20 per box unpacking/repacking fee; last receipt date is Thursday, December 31, 2020. A reception will be held Saturday, January 9, 2021, 6:00 – 8:00 pm. In-person return of artwork is Sunday, February 14, 3:00 – 7:00 pm. Return of shipped work begins Tuesday, February 16, 2021. $10,000 in awards are available, subject to juror discretion. Any accepted work listed for sale will be sold through Hopkins Center for the Arts, which retains a 30% sales commission and collects sales tax.
