26th Annual Collectors Choice Juried Art Auction and Fundraiser

Laguna College of Art and Design (LCAD) invites artists to participate in the 26th Annual Collector's Choice fundraiser, taking place on Friday, September 25, 2015. The event is a juried art auction and fundraiser held at Montage Laguna Beach, with juried work on preview in a gallery in downtown Laguna Beach prior to the gala event.

Artists may submit up to three exceptional works of original art for consideration by a jury including Eleana Del Rio (Koplin Del Rio Gallery), Niccolo Brooker (Forum Gallery), and Sue Greenwood (Sue Greenwood Fine Art). Artists whose works are accepted have the option to donate 100% or a percentage of the proceeds from the sale of their work to LCAD's Annual Fund, which supports programs and scholarships for student artists. Artists may retain between 25% and 50% of the final sale price of their work, with minimum bids set by the committee. Artists contributing 100% of proceeds may purchase an event ticket at the discounted rate of $125. Artists juried into the Live Auction will receive 2 complimentary tickets to the event.

Key dates: Image and submittal deadline is Monday, August 3. Jury begins Thursday, August 13 and ends Monday, August 17. Announcements are made Wednesday, August 19. Art is due to LCAD by Tuesday, September 1. The artist reception is Thursday, September 17. Artists will be recognized on the event web page and in the event program.
