About This Call

The 25th Parkside National Small Print Exhibition will be held January 30 - March 30, 2017 at the Fine Arts Gallery, University of Wisconsin-Parkside, 900 Wood Road, Kenosha, WI 53144. Founded in 1987 by Doug DeVinny, Professor Emeritus of Printmaking at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside, the Parkside National Small Print Exhibition has shown the finest examples of small-format original prints created by artists nationwide for over two decades. This year's exhibition will be juried by David Jones, Master Printer and co-founder of Anchor Graphics, Chicago.

Eligible artists must be 18 years or older and currently residing in the United States. Eligible prints must utilize traditional, hand-pulled media, including hybrid works combining hand-pulled techniques with new media forms. Prints cannot exceed 18 inches in any direction, including mat or support if applicable. Prints must have been created within the last two years and cannot have been previously exhibited in the Parkside National Small Print Exhibition. Work must arrive exhibition ready. 3D prints and prints employing alternative display methods will be considered. The entry fee is $35 for submitting up to four works. Submissions must be made through CallForEntry.org by November 18, 2016.

Purchase Awards will be selected by the juror and announced at the opening reception on February 23, 2017. These are cash awards for high-quality works that will enter the University of Wisconsin Parkside's Small Print Collection. A color catalogue will be produced for the exhibition, and each accepted artist will receive a complimentary copy. Artists are responsible for covering shipping costs to and from the gallery. Accepted work will be insured while on exhibit, but the University will not be liable for damage or loss in transit. Works may be listed as either for sale or not for sale. The gallery retains a 20% sales commission for sold works, which is used to support gallery educational programming. Works cannot be removed from exhibition prior to the exhibition closing date.
