25th Annual Wills Creek Exhibition of Fine Art

The Allegany Arts Council announces a Call for Entry for its 25th Annual Wills Creek Exhibition of Fine Art, taking place at the FSU Roper Gallery on the Frostburg State University Campus in Frostburg, Maryland, from August 23-September 6, 2025. This juried exhibition celebrates talented and innovative artists whose work is contemporary, thoughtful, and uniquely portrays the world in which we live. One-third of the selected works will be three-dimensional. Artists of all mediums and genres are encouraged to apply.

This competition offers more than $5,350 in prizes: Best of Show $2,000, First Place $1,500, Second Place $1,000, Third Place $500, Honorable Mention $250, and People's Choice $100. The juror is Anisa Olufemi, a curator, writer, and cultural worker dedicated to amplifying the work of underrepresented emerging artists. Anisa currently serves as Director of Programs and Curator at Hamiltonian Artists in Washington, D.C.

Entry deadline is July 20, 2025. The entry fee is $30.00 for the first entry and $10.00 for each additional entry, up to six entries per artist. No more than two works from any artist will be accepted. Entries must be original works completed within the last three years and not previously exhibited in an AAC Exhibition. All works must be for sale. Two-dimensional works may not exceed 48" in width/84" in height and must be framed and wired for hanging. Three-dimensional works may not exceed 48" in width/84" in height. All applicants must enter through www.callforentry.org. Artist acceptance notices will be sent by July 27, 2025.
