25th Annual Rio Brazos Juried Art Exhibition

The Tarleton State University Department of Visual Arts & Design announces the 25th Annual Rio Brazos Juried Art Exhibition, juried by artist Daniel Blagg. Open to all varieties of media, this exhibition curates contemporary work from artists around the country. The exhibition opens April 8, 2023 at the Dora Lee Langdon Cultural & Educational Center in Granbury, Texas and runs every weekend through April 23rd. All proceeds from the exhibition go to scholarships for the Department of Visual Arts & Design at Tarleton State University.

The exhibition is open to all artists 18 years of age or older. Work must have been made in the last 3 years and cannot have been featured at previous Rio Brazos exhibitions. Entry fee is $40 for 3 images, with additional pieces at $5 each. Submit 3-20 images. The juror will select up to 50 images for exhibition. Awards include: David and Claudia Southern Award for Best in Show ($1,000), up to 2 Juror's Selection Awards ($500 each), and up to 5 Honorable Mention awards ($100 each). Over $2,000 in artist awards are anticipated.

All work entered must be available for sale with a 25% commission collected upon sale. Framed and hung 2D works may not exceed 50" in any direction or weigh more than 12 lbs. 3D works may not exceed 60" in any direction. Accepted work must be ready to hang. Hand-deliver artwork on March 25, 2023 (11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Langdon Center) or ship with prepaid return label to arrive by March 28, 2023.
