24th Annual Shoreline Arts Festival

The 24th Annual Shoreline Arts Festival is a juried Artists Marketplace held June 28-29, 2014. Work must be handmade, original, and created by the artist(s). All artists must attend the entire Festival, and items must match the type and quality submitted for jurying. No commercially produced work, kits, imported goods, or work by non-juried artists are permitted.

Three types of outdoor booth spaces are available: 4' x 10' covered on concrete walkway ($90), 10' x 10' uncovered on asphalt or grass ($125), or shared 10' x 10' uncovered on asphalt or grass ($180). All booths must withstand Northwest weather conditions with canopies weighted or staked against wind. Tables and chairs are available for rental. Overnight security is provided. A Shoreline business license may be required in addition to the booth fee. Demonstrations are strongly supported and may provide access to extra space and electricity for demo purposes; demo artists are highlighted in the Festival guide.

Applications require 3-4 images of representative work, with one image showing booth set-up. The jury panel includes working artists, gallery managers, and Festival directors who determine category balance and select artists based in part on average sales from previous years. The Festival is advertised through local media, signage, and mailings to Shoreline area residents. Participating artists are featured in the Festival guide and on the Festival website. Entry fee is $5.00. Application deadline: March 21, 2014 at 10:59 p.m. PST.
