24th Annual Juried Art Exhibition

The Fine Arts League of Cary invites artists within the United States to submit work for the 24th Annual Juried Art Exhibition. The entry fee is $35 for up to 2 separate pieces of art, though only one piece per artist may be accepted into the exhibition. Artists may submit 1-2 pieces of 2D work, including works on canvas and photography, executed within the last two years. Works must be entirely the work of a single artist and must not have been exhibited in previous FALC juried or judged shows. Giclees, reproductions, and copies will not be accepted. Artwork must be family-friendly and appropriate for the general public.

Artwork specifications: dimensions may not exceed 48" x 38" in any dimension including frame, with a maximum weight of 18 lbs. All pieces must be totally dry, securely framed, wired, and ready to hang. Glass glazing is permitted up to 18" by 24"; larger pieces must use Plexiglas/acrylic. Clip frames and sawtooth hangers are not accepted. Back-stapled, edge-wrapped canvases must have edges painted to match or complement the artwork if not framed.

Artwork must be shipped via UPS or FedEx in a reusable container with a prepaid return label included. Packing peanuts are not permitted. Hand delivery is also accepted. The exhibition opens May 22, 2019, with a reception and awards on May 31, 2019, and closes June 29, 2019. Awards include 1st Place ($1,000), 2nd Place ($750), and 3rd Place ($500), with additional Honor Awards dependent on sponsorships. A 25% commission is charged on all sales. Artwork pickup is July 1, 2019 (10 am to 6 pm); unclaimed artwork becomes the property of FALC.
