24th Annual Exploring the Light Photo Show

The Exploring the Light Photo Exhibit at the Lone Tree Arts Center invites local photographers to showcase their work. Photographers of all ages are eligible to enter up to 3 images in the following categories: Landscape, Animals, Portraits, Sports, and Still Life.

Images are juried through a blind jury review process. Total cash awards are estimated at $3,450, including first, second, and third place in each category, plus Best of Show, Commissioners' Choice, and People's Choice awards. The entry fee is $37 per photographer. All accepted images must be gallery ready (canvas wrap, metal, acrylic, wood, floating or other frame) and meet gallery quality standards. Paper prints must be matted and covered with clean plexiglass or glass. Images must be undamaged, reinforced with hardware and picture hanging wire (D-rings installed 1/3 from the top edge), and not exceed 48x48 inches framed or weigh more than 35 lbs. All images must be for sale, with the Lone Tree Arts Center retaining 20% commission on sales. Accepted photographers may sell additional bin work at the opening reception only. Images must have been completed within the last 3 years and not previously shown in a Lone Tree Photo Show.

Drop-off is March 24th from 3:00pm-6:00pm. The exhibit runs March 26th – June 21st, with viewing hours Monday through Friday, 10am-4pm and 2 hours prior to performances. Pick-up is June 22nd from 3:00pm-6:00pm. Photographers must be able to deliver and retrieve work in person; images will not be accepted by mail or courier services.
