23rd Annual Juried Art Exhibition

The Fine Arts League of Cary invites artists to submit work for the 23rd Annual Juried Art Exhibition. Open to current residents of North Carolina, South Carolina, or Virginia only. Artists may submit 1-3 pieces of 2D artwork, including works on canvas and photography. Works must be entirely the work of a single artist and executed within the last two years. Works must not have been exhibited in previous FALC juried or judged shows. Giclees of canvas art, photographs reproduced on canvas, copies of artworks, or reproductions will not be accepted. Artwork must be family-friendly and appropriate for the general public.

Entry fee is $35 for up to 3 separate pieces. Credit card payments are accepted online, or checks may be mailed to: FALC Treasurer, P.O. Box 3361, Cary, NC 27519-3361. Artwork must be submitted as digital images (1-3 images). Images must be named with the artist's initials and numbered sequentially (e.g., MFS01-First Artwork Name). Artwork dimensions must not exceed 44" high and 34" wide, including frame. Maximum weight is 18 lbs. Artworks must be totally dry, securely framed, wired, and ready to hang. Glass glazing is permitted up to 18" by 24"; use Plexiglas/acrylic on larger pieces. No clip frames or sawtooth hangers accepted.

Notification of acceptance is April 30, 2018. Artwork must be received by May 15, 2018. The exhibition opens May 16, 2018, with a reception and awards on May 18, 2018. The show runs through June 30, 2018. Artwork pickup is July 2, 2018; shipped artwork is returned July 5, 2018. Awards: 1st Place $1,000, 2nd Place $750, 3rd Place $500. Honor Award amounts vary by year based on sponsorships. A 25% commission is charged on all sales. Artists are responsible for round-trip insuring of their work. Artwork must be shipped via UPS or FedEx in a reusable container with a prepaid return label. No packing peanuts permitted.
