23rd Annual Gateway to the Rockies Art Show & Sale

The 23rd Annual Gateway to the Rockies Art Show & Sale is open to international artists. Entry deadline is August 1, 2017. Entry fee is $40 for 3 images, with an additional $5 per image for up to 9 total submissions. A $10 discount is available to Aurora Artists Guild members.

Artists may submit work in three categories: Two-Dimensional, Photography, or Miniatures, with a maximum of 3 images per category. Two-Dimensional artwork must be original fine art media (minimum 8" x 10", maximum 36" on any side). Photography includes traditional, digital, or computer-enhanced work (same size requirements). Miniatures must not exceed 36 square inches with a maximum inside frame size of 100 square inches. All artwork must have been completed within the last five years and cannot have been shown in any previous Gateway Art Show. Artwork must be suitably framed and wired, matching the submitted entry details with no price or title changes allowed.

Key dates: Acceptance notices will be emailed August 23, 2017. Take-in for accepted artwork is September 23, 2017, 10 am–Noon (hand delivery required for 2-D and Photography; miniatures may be mailed). The show opens September 27 and closes November 11, 2017. Reception and awards are October 6, 2017, 5–7:30 pm. Pick-up is November 12, 2017, Noon–2 pm. Award certificates will be given for each category plus Best of Show, The Kate Tauer Award, AAG Award, and Aurora's First Lady Award. A 30% commission on sales goes to the City of Aurora Cultural Services Division and Aurora Museum Foundation. Bin work is available for purchase from the reception through the end of the show.
