22nd Annual Exploring the Light Photo Show

The Lone Tree Arts Center invites local photographers to participate in the 22nd Annual Exploring the Light Photo Show. Photographers are invited to submit up to 3 original images completed within the last 3 years that have not been shown in a previous Lone Tree Photo Show. The exhibition runs from March 28 to June 11, 2024.

Submissions are accepted in eight categories: Animals, Architecture, Landscape, Long Exposure, Macro Photography, Portraits, Street Photography, and Travel. Images are juried through a blind jury review process by photographer Darren White. Awards include first, second, and third place in each category, plus Best of Show and People's Choice, with estimated total cash awards of $3,350. Award-winning photographers receive gallery space for several weeks following the show. All accepted images must be gallery-ready (canvas wrap, metal, acrylic, wood, or framed) and ready to hang, meeting gallery quality standards. Paper prints must be matted and covered with clean plexiglass or glass. Images must be undamaged, reinforced with hardware and picture hanging wire (D-rings installed 1/3 from top, wire strung taut), and not exceed 48x48 inches framed or weigh more than 35 pounds.

The entry deadline is February 20, 2024 at 11:59 p.m. MST. The entry fee is $36, payable via credit card through CaFE or check made payable to the City of Lone Tree. All accepted images must be for sale, with the Lone Tree Arts Center retaining 20% commission on sales. Photographers must deliver work on March 26 from 3:00-6:00 p.m. and pick up on June 12 from 3:00-6:00 p.m. Images cannot be removed before the end of the show.
