21st National Photography Competition

The 21st National Photography Competition is open to all US residents 18 years of age or older, excluding fotofoto gallery artists. Any photographic medium including digital and alternative processes will be accepted, but no AI images are accepted. The maximum height or width of framed work cannot exceed 30 inches, and works previously exhibited at fotofoto gallery are ineligible. Free-standing pieces cannot be accepted, and accepted works must be delivered by Friday February 6, 2026.

Approximately 30 photographs will be chosen for a 26 day-long exhibition from March 13 - April 5, 2026, to be hung in the gallery and online on their website. Work must be framed in simple black or white frames with neutral museum quality mats, with D-Rings placed 1 1/2 inches from the top of the frame and using only plexi or acrylic glazing - no glass allowed. Entry fee is $45 for up to 5 images, with additional images (up to 15 total) costing $6 each.

Juror Alex Ferrone, Owner, Director, and Curator at Alex Ferrone Gallery, will select 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners with awards of $300, $200, and $100 respectively. The 1st Place Award is sponsored by The Huntington Art Center. Notifications will be sent on January 25, 2026, with a reception scheduled for Saturday February 21, 2026 from 5 to 7pm.
