21st Arts in Harmony 2016 Annual International Show

The Elk River Area Arts Alliance invites artists to participate in the 21st Arts in Harmony 2016 Annual International Show. This exhibition is open to all living artists and accepts original work not previously exhibited in an Arts in Harmony show. Inappropriate subject matter, including nudes, is not acceptable.

Accepted media includes paintings (oil, acrylic, and water media), pastels, drawings, hand-pulled prints, mixed media, fiber, batik, photography, ceramics, glass, sculpture, and sequential art. No copies, class work, or fragile work are accepted. The maximum width for most submitted works is 45 inches (outer-edge-of-frame to outer-edge-of-frame). Up to 6 works with widths up to 60 inches may be accepted if selected by the jury. Free-standing sculpture must fit through a standard door space and be light enough for a manual dolly. All hanging work must be properly framed with a hanging wire. Drawings, prints, photographs, watercolors, and batik not under glass or plexiglass must be completely fixed to a backing board.

Entry fees are $35 for two images, with each additional image costing $5. A maximum of three artworks may be selected for the exhibition. Early in-person drop-off fee is $10. Shipped artwork incurs an unpacking/repacking fee of $15 per box and must include prepaid return shipping labels. Digital images must comply with standard CallForEntry.org specifications. Entries are accepted online from July 1 – October 30, 2015. The main exhibition runs February 1 – March 24, 2016 at the Sherburne County Government Center. A travelling show of approximately 40 selected works will be held March 30 – April 30, 2016 at Blaine City Hall. Reception and awards presentation are scheduled for Sunday, February 7, 2016, 1:00 - 3:30 pm. $12,250 in awards are available, distributed over 50 awards. Notification of acceptance is December 7, 2015.
