About This Call

The 21st Annual Lone Tree Fine Art Expo is a juried exhibition presented by the City of Lone Tree and the Lone Tree Arts Commission, running October 6th, 2022 – January 3rd, 2023 at the Lone Tree Arts Center, 10075 Commons Street, Lone Tree, Colorado, 80124. Artists may submit up to three pieces in the following categories: Painting (oil, acrylic, tempera), Drawing (pastel, pencil, charcoal), Watercolor, Mixed Media (collage or combination of media), and Sculpture (cannot exceed 24"). The entry fee is $35 (non-refundable), and submissions must include one digital image per piece of artwork.

Eligibility requirements include: artwork must be original and completed within the last two years (2020-2022), not previously shown in a Lone Tree art exhibition, and available for purchase. Two-dimensional work cannot exceed 48" and must be a minimum of 12"; three-dimensional work cannot exceed 24" and not weigh more than 75 pounds. All artwork must be framed and ready to hang on the Arakawa Hanging System with picture wire on the back (3D excluded). Artwork may not exceed 45 pounds. Artists must be local or within driving distance; all work must be dropped off in person on Tuesday, October 4th between 3:30pm – 6:30pm, with pick-up on Wednesday, January 4th between 3:30pm – 6:30pm.

Artist notifications will be sent by September 15th, 2022. The 2022 juror is Collin Parson, Director of Galleries and Curator for the Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities. Awards include Best of Show, Commissioner's Choice, and First and Second Place awards in each category. Accepted artists may sell work at the opening reception (October 19th, 2022) only, with a 20% sales commission applied to all sales. Accepted works must remain on display through the end of the exhibition and cannot be removed early.
