20th National Photography Competition

The 20th National Photography Competition is open to all US residents 18 years of age or older, excluding fotofoto gallery artists. Any photographic medium including digital and alternative processes will be accepted. The maximum height or width of framed work cannot exceed 24 inches. Works previously exhibited at fotofoto gallery are ineligible for submission. Entries with substantial artificial intelligence rendering will not be accepted. Free-standing pieces cannot be accepted.

Approximately 30 photographs will be selected for a 26-day exhibition from March 13 - April 5, 2025, to be displayed in the gallery and online on the website. Juror Andreas Rentsch, an international award-winning photographer and educator, will select 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners. Awards are $300 for 1st place, $200 for 2nd place, and $100 for 3rd place. The 1st Place Award is generously sponsored by The Huntington Art Center. A reception will be held Saturday, March 15, 2025.

Entry fee is $45 for 5 images, with an additional $6 per image for images 6-15 (up to 15 total). All entries must be submitted via the CaFE system. Images must be JPEG or JPG format, 2,000 pixels or greater on the longest side, under 5 MB, with sRGB color profile. Submissions deadline is February 15, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. MST. Notifications will be sent February 22, 2025. Framed photographs must be received by March 8, 2025. For accepted entries, work should be framed in simple black or white frames with neutral museum quality mats and must be wired.
