20th Annual Less is More Art Show 2026

The Laguna Plein Air Painters Association invites submissions for the 20th Annual "Less is More" Juried Small Works Art Show. This exhibition is open to all LPAPA Signature, Artist, and Student Members in good standing, with membership current through August 2026. Artwork must be original, painted outdoors onsite or in studio within the last year, and not previously shown in a LPAPA Gallery show. No digital artwork will be accepted. All accepted artwork must be signed by the artist.

Artwork specifications: unframed size must be between 5 and 18 united inches (length + width combined). All accepted work must be properly glazed, professionally framed, wired, and ready to hang. Subject matter is open to all themes. Submissions open January 2026 through OnlineJuriedShows, with a deadline of Monday, May 18, 2026 (before midnight PDT). Entry fee is $40 for up to 2 painting images; each additional image is $5, with a maximum of 6 images per artist. No more than 3 entries per artist will be accepted as Finalist and/or Semi-Finalist. Images must be JPEG format, under 4 MB, in sRGB colorspace, and at least 1920 pixels on the longest side at 72 dpi.

Notifications will be sent by Monday, May 26, 2026. The online art catalog runs June 29 - August 3, 2026. An online auction runs Monday, June 29 (10 AM PST) through Thursday, July 2 (8 PM PDT). The gallery exhibition runs Thursday, July 2 - Monday, August 3, 2026, with an Art Walk Reception on Thursday, July 2 (6 PM-9 PM) and awards announcement at 7 PM. Drop-off deadline is Tuesday, June 30 by 1 PM; shipped work must arrive by Friday, June 26. Pickup of unsold work is Tuesday, August 4 (10 AM-1 PM). Accepted Finalist and Semi-Finalist artwork must be available for sale exclusively through LPAPA for a minimum of 30 days after the show ends. Sales commission is 50% to artist, 50% to LPAPA.
