20th Annual Juried Exhibition

This juried exhibition is open to all PSNJ members in good standing working in soft pastels. All entries must be predominately (80%) executed in soft pastels. Only original work executed within the past five years and not previously exhibited in a PSNJ judged show is eligible. All entries must be created independently by the artist from their own original reference materials or setup. Work done in a classroom setting or workshop under the guidance of an instructor is not eligible. Work may not be based on or directly derived from reference materials created or arranged by others.

All work, including frames, cannot exceed 36" in either dimension. Work must be framed professionally with secure brackets and sturdy, taut wire. No saw-tooth hangers or metal frames are acceptable. Final acceptance to PSNJ juried exhibitions will be upon delivery of work. False representation of art submitted to PSNJ juried exhibitions and/or violation of these guidelines may result in art removal and suspension of exhibition privileges for up to two years.

Submit original, high-quality JPEG image files at least 1500 pixels on the longest edge with a maximum file size of 30 MB. Crop images to include only the artwork itself without mat, frame, or background. Ensure images are oriented correctly and use the sRGB color profile. Entry fees are not refundable and must be submitted and paid by the entry deadline of May 1, 2025. After submission and payment, you may log back in to review your entry, edit artist and image information, and add or substitute images until the deadline. Entries cannot be accepted or changed after the deadline, and incomplete entries will be disqualified.
