About This Call

Maude Kerns Art Center is currently accepting submissions for its 2027 & 2028 Exhibits Seasons. Local, regional, and national artists (individuals and groups) working in 2- and 3-dimensional mediums, as well as installation art, are invited to submit their work for consideration. Solo, group, and/or themed shows will be curated based on the content, quality, and number of submissions. Established, mid-career, and emerging artists are encouraged to apply.

The Maude Kerns Art Center, founded in 1950, is a non-profit community art center in Eugene, Oregon, presenting 8-10 exhibitions each year. The two gallery spaces are the Main Gallery (comprising the Henry Korn Gallery and the Stage Gallery) with 121 linear feet of exhibit space in a converted church from the 1890s featuring vaulted ceilings and parquet wood floors, and the Maude I. Kerns Salon Gallery, a white box gallery with 77 linear feet of gallery walls. Each submission requires a minimum of 10 images and maximum of 20 images total, with up to 1 audio/video file (3 minutes or 100 mb maximum) allowed in place of an image. The entry fee is $35 for individual or group submissions.

A panel of accomplished artists and art professionals will jury applications based on originality, artistic merit, craftsmanship, and potential for community engagement. Artists are responsible for shipping fees and insurance, and all work must be suitably framed and ready to hang or install. Sales are encouraged with a 40% commission to the Art Center and 60% retained by artists. The Art Center will list work for sale on their website during the exhibit period.
