About This Call

The Vilcek Foundation will award $200,000 in new grants to selected nonprofits as part of its 2026 grant cycle. The foundation encourages mission-driven nonprofit organizations that have a specific focus on supporting immigrants in the arts, sciences, and education, or through the provision of social services to apply. The foundation invests in organizations that take a creative approach to putting their mission into action and that prioritize the development of unique projects and operations to effectively achieve meaningful goals. In the 2026 grant cycle, funding will be prioritized in U.S. states and territories where the foundation has not previously awarded grants.

Eligibility requirements include: nonprofit status under U.S. IRC Section 501(c)(3); U.S. or U.S. territory location; activities and expenditures primarily based in the United States or U.S. territories; good standing and tax-exempt status with the IRS; ability to provide a signed W-9 with valid EIN, IRS determination letter, recently filed IRS Form 990 (or equivalent), audited financial statement or balance sheet from the previous fiscal year, and annual operating budget and proposal budget.

The foundation does not award grants to organizations working with fiscal sponsors, in support of scientific research, for capital projects or campaigns, to cover costs of galas or fundraising events, to K-12 or charter schools, or to support political campaigns. All grants are one-time, non-renewable awards. Applications are submitted through the Vilcek Foundation Grant Portal with no application fee. The U.S. national deadline is April 30, 2026.
