2026 Thin Line Fest Photography Festival

Thin Line Fest is a five-day multi-format art festival held March 18-22, 2026 in Denton, Texas. The Photography Festival is competitive and features selected photographs professionally printed and exhibited at festival galleries. All selected artists receive a VIP pass to the festival offering special access to all programming and are encouraged to attend.

Submissions are organized into six categories: Macro/Micro (bring the smallest parts of the world closer through size and scale), Site/Unseen (reveal commonly overlooked subjects and spaces), Time/Space (showcase interactions between time and space with compositions capturing motion or stillness), Still/Life (use traditional still-life techniques to create staged scenes depicting energy and motion), and Hear/Here (showcase vibrant energy of musical artists performing on stage, with bonus points for regional artists or stages).

A "Best of Category" photograph will be selected in each category, with winners receiving a $500 check. First runners-up will receive free submissions to the 2027 festival. Submissions are $8.50 each; however, if you purchase more than 5 submission credits in one order, every credit past the first five is $4.25 per submission. You will select a category for each photograph during submission. Thin Line Fest reserves the right to exhibit your work in any category.
