2026 Signature Members Exhibition

The Philadelphia Pastel Society invites Signature Members to submit work for the 2026 Signature Members Exhibition at The Boyer Gallery at The Hill School Center for the Arts in Pottstown, PA, running April 3 – May 1, 2026. The entry deadline is February 27, 2026.

Eligibility and Requirements: Applicants must be current Signature Members with membership dues paid in full by January 31, 2026. All artwork must have been created in the past 3 years (2023-2026) and not previously exhibited in a PPS exhibition. Work must be in dry soft pastel with at least 80% of the finished work in dry pastel; oil pastels and varnished dry pastels are not accepted. Framed paintings cannot exceed 42" in the longest direction and must be professionally framed with clean mats and no visible damage. Artwork cannot be done under teacher supervision. Once accepted, works cannot be withheld from the exhibition under penalty of a two-year exclusion from future PPS exhibitions. Accepted artwork must not be exhibited concurrently in another show.

Entry Fee and Awards: The entry fee is $25 for one artwork. Total awards of $1,800 are available, including $500 for Best in Show. The judge of awards is Joseph Sweeney, a Philadelphia-based landscape painter and educator. Work may include NFS (Not For Sale). The Boyer Gallery will handle all sales and withhold a 30% commission. Accepted artwork will be notified by Monday, March 9, 2026. Shipped artworks must be received between March 23-27, 2026. Hand delivery is available on Saturday, March 28, 2026 between 10am and 2pm.
