2026 Sculpture on Westview Program

The City of Coral Springs is seeking professional visual artists to participate in the 2026 Sculpture on Westview Program. Up to five sculptures will be temporarily displayed on separate concrete pads along Westview Drive, a beautiful winding roadway spanning about 1 mile between Coral Ridge Drive and University Drive. Artists should submit pre-existing artworks for purchase, with the City only renting and purchasing unique works of art. A flyer along with social media and press releases will be completed on the artworks and artists selected.

There is no set theme for the program, with the Public Art Program looking to feature a variety of artworks reflecting the unique styles and themes of the selected artists. Artwork must be capable of holding its own in the temporary location and fit on a 4-foot by 5-foot pad. The artwork should be durable and require minimal ongoing maintenance, with resistance to South Florida's subtropical climate including hot and humid conditions, intense sun, heavy seasonal rain, and high-speed winds. Artists selected must handle transportation, installation, and provide power if required for installation.

The public art program will pay $2,000 to each artist selected for temporary display ($1,000 at installation and $1,000 at removal). Of the artworks on display, the Public Art Committee will select one or more pieces for purchase for the permanent public art collection, with a purchase budget of up to $32,000. Selected permanent artists must make recommendations for the design of the permanent site and present one public lecture in Coral Springs. Applications require a cover letter, resume, artwork description, images of proposed artwork, and purchase price not to exceed $32,000.
