2026 Printmaking Residency at Remarque Print Workshop

Remarque Print Workshop is offering a week-long residency for five printmakers from across the state and country to work in their non-toxic printmaking facility in Albuquerque, NM from June 1-7, 2026. Applicants are expected to have prior printmaking knowledge but need not be familiar with the non-toxic Akua inks and etching process.

The residency aims to provide printmakers and artists who may not have access to presses or studio equipment with an opportunity for an intense week of artistic production. Selected artists will have complete 24-hour access to the 3,000 square foot studio including six Takach presses, Akua inks, exposure unit, plate cutter, and etching tanks. Artists are expected to purchase their own paper, plates, and extra materials. Remarque will not provide food or lodging but can recommend affordable Air Bnb rentals nearby. There will be a meet and greet reception Saturday evening before the residency begins, and artists are invited to participate in an artist talk on Tuesday evening.

To apply, submit three to five examples of artwork, a resume, a short bio, and a short proposal (less than one page) describing your goals and process for the week. Artists accepted for the residency are responsible for their own transportation to Albuquerque and must find their own accommodations. In return, artists are asked to donate one print to the gallery and pay an administrative fee of $100. Entry fee is $35. Application deadline is March 29, 2026.
