About This Call
The Philadelphia Water Color Society invites members to submit work for the 2026 Members Show, an online exhibition running May 1 – June 1, 2026. This is an opportunity to showcase work with one of the oldest and most prestigious watercolor societies in the U.S., compete for cash awards, and potentially sell your work.
PWCS members may submit up to 2 paintings for a $25 entry fee. All work must be original and on paper, including water media, drawings, pastel, charcoal, graphite, acrylic, gouache, colored pencil, pen/ink, and hand-pulled prints. Collage elements must be of paper with all imagery and color created by the artist. No oils, photographic, digital, electronic processes, or computer art are accepted. Works must be no older than 3 years (completed 2023–2026), not previously exhibited in any PWCS exhibition, and not based on another artist's work, published material, or another person's photograph. All entries meeting eligibility criteria will be presented online and considered for awards by juror Annie Strack.
Awards include: 1st Place - $500, 2nd Place - $300, 3rd Place - $200, 5 Awards of Merit - $100 each, and 5 Honorable Mention Awards - $50 each. Artists may receive no more than one award. Artists will be notified by email by Monday, April 20, 2026 if their work is selected for an award. Works may be offered for sale or not-for-sale, with no commission taken by PWCS on sales. Entries must be submitted by March 16, 2026. PWCS membership dues for 2026 must be paid in full to gain entry. To verify membership status, log in to pwcs.wildapricot.org and click on your name at the top of the screen.
