About This Call
The City of Issaquah Arts Program is accepting applications for arts and culture projects and programs that will take place in and for the community in 2026. The program supports valuable arts programming, arts education, cultural events and festivals through an annual grants program.
There are two categories for applicants. Arts Partnerships are for nonprofit arts organizations based in Issaquah, WA with arts and culture as the singular focus of their mission, with a maximum grant request of $25,000. Arts Projects are for any group or individual offering cultural arts programming with clear community benefit for Issaquah in 2026, with a maximum grant request of $5,000. Only projects delivered within Issaquah city limits are eligible. Applicants may apply to only one category; Arts Partnerships applicants are limited to one application per applicant, while Arts Projects applicants may submit up to three applications for separate, non-overlapping projects.
Selection criteria include: Public Benefit (meaningful community participation and diverse audience reach), Artistic Value (well-conceived project with art as primary component), and Feasibility and Managerial Capacity (demonstrated ability to produce the project and manage funds with clear, realistic budget and evidence of community involvement). All applications must demonstrate public benefit to the Issaquah community and include a project budget or organization budget. Items not eligible for funding include scholarships or tuition assistance, projects that only benefit organizations' members, and projects supporting religious activities or political organizations. Schools are not currently eligible to apply.
